Emphasis Your word gives light
Today’s Prayer
Lord, we have already been reminded that Your word is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path (Psalm 119:105), here we are reminded that Your word gives light so that even the simple can understand it (Psalm 119:120). Father forgive us as a nation and as Your church for looking down our nose at what You did for us. We have forgotten that You showed us mercy, even though we did not love Your name (Psalm 119:132), that Your Son died for us, even while we were sinners (Romans 5:8). Cause us Lord to be humbled that Christ died for us, at just the right time, when we were powerless (Romans 5:6)
